While it’s important to include oils and ghee in your diet for joint lubrication, be mindful not to overdo it as it can contribute to weight gain. At the same time, avoiding them completely can lead to joint pain due to lack of lubrication.
Deep-fried and excessively spicy foods can aggravate joint inflammation and cause further damage to already degenerated joints. Opt for healthier cooking methods and milder spices to support joint health.
Include herbs like black pepper, fennel, and ginger in your daily meals. They possess properties that help reduce Vata, the dosha associated with joint problems.
Engage in light physical exercises for at least 30 minutes each day to help manage weight and reduce stress on the joints. Healthy weight management can reduce pressure on joints and improve mobility.
Avoid holding back the urge to pass stool and urine, as this can increase Vata in the body and exacerbate joint discomfort. Listen to your body’s signals and attend to natural bodily functions promptly.
